Rejected input to crate::Renderer::record_layered_to_target_scaled.

These failures are detected before the encoder, atlas, or stencil cache is changed. GPU validation failures (for example, a view from another device) are reported by wgpu instead. This separate error type leaves the published RendererError variants unchanged for existing exhaustive matches.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

InvalidRenderTarget(&'static str)

Dimensions, format, scale, or the supplied texture violate the contract.

The diagnostic explains which check failed; its wording is not a stable identifier. Match the variant, not the diagnostic string.

FrameTextureUnavailable

A backdrop filter or destination blend needs the backing texture.

Supply the texture corresponding to the view, with COPY_SRC usage.
